Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience.

But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. .. you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision".. . not just a feeling..

I feel much cheered up today mayb it's becoz i have cleared almost all my outstanding work and able to enjoy my weekends without worries. Working life is tough. At times, we will need to make ourselves happy by pampering ourselves. Hence, i have decided to make myself a new pair of glasses from an optical shop at Tiong Bahru Plaza this evening.

After much selections, i have finally chosen a pair of half squarish lenses with stylish brown frame. It suits my small face more compared to my current oval-shaped one. Can't wait till next Thursday for collection. Also, i will be going back to NEEDS Saloon tomorrow for hair colour and hair cut. Most probably will do RED colour this time. Am looking forward for my new look. Hopefully my luck will turn out to be better after tat.. =p

I am really unlucky...having 3 attempts of HDB flat application, but to no avail. During the recent balloting @ Jalan Membina, there were a total of 3k plus applicants but unfortunately, we were given a queue no of 0812. Although we had been to the temple for luck prayers, but still, in vain.

No chance liao lo....

The priority in balloting were either given to those who had 3 children in the family or those staying around that district nearby their parents.

Wait till my neck like giraffe....so so so long liao. Haiz...dunno how long we have to wait till our turn of preferred. Hope miracle can happen in the June or Aug Bi-balloting...Cheerio...

Feeling gloomy...

I realised that i may get upset over the slightest thing that happened recently... Despite my efforts, things dun always go into the way that i wanted. Feel disappointed when some things said are not done as promised or things that i dun like happened repeatedly.I dun think there is someone who understands me. I dun even have someone i can talk to when i am feeling down or blue...All my thoughts are confined to a world of my own. The only way i can let out my frustrations is through blogging. Mayb thats the only way i can find inner peace and comfort by talking to myself.

How i wish i can be like a baby without worries.Suddenly, I miss those working days with my Capitaland ex-collegues, Lucy, Charlotte, Chai Hoon, Xing Pei and those friendly security guards @ BPP.

I miss those laughers and jokes...

I hate the feeling i am feeling now..

The feeling of being unwanted...

I am on MC today because of a bad tension headache that drags over the past week. Waited for 1 and a half hour at the clinic before its my turn to visit the doctor. Then there was this auntie who attempted to cut queue. Gosh, can't stand these people sometimes. Want to see doctor wait la, so gan jiong. Luckily the doctor did not let her have her way.

After careful examination, the doctor said that my headache could be lead by stress, lack of sleep or pre-sickness symptom. Actually, i feel that my whole body is still alright but since the doctor give me MC, then i rest at home lo. Dun wish to stress my brain cells too much also. I had a severe gastric pain last night too. Haizzzzz. Dun wan to admit old also cannot le..

Tired of work...Y some people can stay in the same job for 20 years?

I have been thinking to do rebonding for quite some time as i felt that my hair was dull, dry and liveless after my last hair colouring session. Hence, i took a half day afternoon leave to have my hair fixed. So coincidently, i happened to bump into Chloe sis @ Raffles mrt station while on my way to the salon. She accompanied me to the salon. In fact, she was keen to cut and colour her hair. However, her lunch break is only 1 hour and hence she has to make it another day.

I happened to know about this salon through Jass recommendation as she is one of the regular customer. As the salon is having promotion, rebonding with treatment costs only $118. You can also enjoy an exclusive $5 discount with a free rebonding shampoo and conditioner if you have their promotion flyer. Cheap till lao sai! I chose another kind of better quality hair treatment @ $120 in order to protect my hair against damage after rebonding. This treatment entitles me to another same free treatment which i can utilise within a month's time. Total purchase of the day adds up to $239.

One more thing that i will like to add is the service of the salon. The staffs there are all quite friendly and not pushy. The lady who served me even played movies for me to watch using their portable vcd player. But i guess i was the only 1 having such a special privilege at that time as they only have 1 vcd player . Haha! They even made toasted sandwiches with ham for me as i did not have a heavy lunch. Very good service, thumbs up! :)

Previously i always have my hair done @ Kimxxx and also a member there. I had some pretty bad experience there. Kimxxx was always hard selling their package and products. Though we rejected, they are still very persistant that makes us as consumer scared to visit them again. I am not talking about all staffs but some of them really makes me really pissed of.

Just sharing my experience with u guys. Upon comparsion, i feel that the quality and service really varies a lot between these 2 salons and i know definately which salon to visit in future.
