Board Game, Pool, KTV Pub

Darling and me went for a "cash flow" board game @ The Settlers Cafe last Saturday. We were invited by our friendly advisor, Vincent to participate in this game. It was an event organised by Prudential and two of our friends Chloe and James joined us as well. The whole room was booked by Prudential with a few invitees participating the game.

The objective of the game is to get out of the Rat Race, accumulate a total of $800,000 wealth for retirement. The first 3 person who completed this game were entitled to cash prizes. WOW! This is a game that involves a combination of luck, risk-taking and the right strategic move. Earning yourself a passive income, clearing off existing debts and moving to buy stocks and properties at a low price and selling them at a high price and finally making enough money for retirement.

Well, i guess both James and I were the unlucky ones. Both missing turns and i even gotten myself not 1 but 3 babies in the game, incurring extra expenses. While missing our turns, we were indulged in the finger foods, sotong balls, french fries, nuggets etc. All foods and drinks were complimentary. Heeeeheeeee.

Darling ended up winning the 3rd price for this event, earning himself $100 cash prize. Wooohooo! I must say this is indeed a fun game.

The bottomline - If you want to retire early, whether its is in comfort or in a simple way, you have to start planning early.

Then, we entertained ourselves with the Jenga game.

And the guys moved on to their own game. Eh. I do not know the name of this boardgame. But accordingly to James, the objective of this game is to stay as long as possible. Obviously, he was the winner.

After the game, we proceeded to Suntec and met up with Iris and CY for dinner. It was super crowded at City Hall due to the Fireworks event at marina. After a quick meal at MacDonalds, we went for pool session @ Marina Square. Chloe and James did not join the game as they were busy with their bridal shops hunting. It was one and half hour later they came back. We thought they might have signed up for a bridal package. Haha.

After pool, the 5 of us, Darling, me, Vincent, Chloe and James met up with Karen & Patrick @ Boat Quay. As usual our Dear Karen was late again. We ended up in a pub called Chillz but the aircon was not cooling at all. Really fun night, playing a new game that was introduced by James called "Heart Attack Version 2" while waiting for our turn to sing. I guess we were the "loudest" group among all till eventually we played in silent mode not to cause disturbance to other people in the pub. Everyone of us were enjoying ourselves, laughing till our hearts' content. Vincent, Chloe and James left earlier as they were too tired while the rest of us stayed till 3am plus before we called it a day =)
