Today’s topic is about education.

With the bad economy and competitive job market, having a degree is becoming increasingly important. Although in the past, degrees weren't always necessary, now companies are using education as a way to filter applicants. This is especially true if you wish to work in government sectors. The first criteria that they look out for is education.

Let’s face it. Not every family is born with a silver spoon. Some families simply cannot afford to fork out that additional 15-30k just for that piece of paper. On one hand, people want to keep up with the society. On the other hand, the skyrocketing costs of courses makes one ponder if an investment in higher education still makes sense.

This is the hard truth. Those who are unable to keep up with the realistic society will be left behind. How about the future generation? How can they cope with such stress and competition?

While I do not agree that having a Degree implies that you are smarter or more superior, it is always good to have one for the future. You might not know when it will come in handy.
